When it comes to recruiting football players for your college program in Texas, sentiment takes a back seat to progress. When U of North Texas head coach Todd Dodge was hired in December 2006, he was told a new stadium would probably be ready by 2010.

Fouts Field has been the home turf for Mean Green football and track events since 1951. It has undergone some renovations but is still lacking in some areas. And, with several other schools in the Sun Belt Conference renovating or building new places, Dodge is understandably anxious to catch up.
